Open auditions for the new voice of Big Tex have been announced. Auditions close on April 15th. It is imperative that the new voice of Big Tex, the icon of our state fair, has a robust recognizable Texas twang that lends to our state’s identity and contributes to the authenticity of the Texas State Fair experience. I ask everyone to support the nomination of the well known actor, philanthropist, and proud Texan, Matthew McConaughey to lend his Texas drawl to our fine annual event.
