Petition Closed

Some of the schools, especially many of the CBSE and ICSE schools do not provide the option to the students to take up the study of Regional Language(atleast the Major Language of the state) as a Language Subject. The students, even if they are interested in studying Regional Language as a Language Subject, are forced to study some other language like Hindi without any other option. (Please Note-This is not against learning Hindi).

This is a huge blow to the Regional Languages like Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam, etc.
It is so pathetic to see a person, born and brought up in our region, who cannot read or write in the Regional Language! This is not the mistake of that person, it is the fault of the schools that are not providing the Regional Language as a Language Subject.
Please sign this petition. Let us save our Regional Languages.
