At the start of the school year the students were allowed to carry backpacks from class to class instead of going to their lockers. This made school life so much easier because we were able to have all of our educational materials on us at all times. It also made it easier to just go straight to class instead of having to stop by our lockers to get everything and then have to carry our notebooks. Speaking of carrying notebooks, people aren't dropping all their stuff in the middle of the hallway because all of our materials are zipped up in our backpacks. Now that the COVID-19 restrictions have gone down, the school is forcing us to put our backpacks in our lockers. While other schools in the city have allowed their students to carry their backpacks during school hours for years even before COVID. Students have been given the preview of how much easier school is with taking backpacks to class and I don't see a reason to have to change it back. So here is the petition to continue allowing KCC students to carry backpacks from class to class. There were no problems with it in the first 3 quarters of the school year so why change something that is working. Why change the good back to the bad. Let us carry backpacks throughout the day again!
