Greater Communication within the KCA Community
This petition had 140 supporters
A majority of the students that I have personally spoken to believe that there is a concerted effort on the part of the leaders of our school (Kansas City Academy) to keep us (the students) from participating in an informative, productive, and in-depth conversation about the future of our school. While opportunities have been provided (i.e. the town hall meeting on 4/18/17), we feel that we should have been given more information from the get-go, and we shouldn't have to beg and plead for more knowledge, which we have been told is already readily available.
A lot of students also feel that an agenda was being pushed on the part of our principal and the 'facilitator' that was provided (on 4/18/17), who we were promised wouldn't let her own opinion infringe on the way that she mediated the conversation, but who actually opened the meeting by trying to convince us to move.
This petition is open for anyone who cares about the KCA community to sign.
