10 years ago Eastside Park was only a dream. In 2019 that dream became a proposal with all the legwork of research completed. Bordering Lake Fisher the County has already purchased the Midlake property totaling 33+ acres bordering Kannapolis and Concord. The next step is to make sure that the Kannapolis City Council hears our voices that we want this park.  The proposal for this park includes paddle boats, a splash pad, 2 dog parks (one for large and one for small, a children's playground, nature trails, picnic shelters and even an osprey platform.  There is currently grant money available but we need to act now.
