Currently at Kankakee Trinity Academy, the only sports team to go to nationals annually is the Varsity boys and girls varsity and completely closing the doors on every other sport going. This includes soccer, volleyball, and baseball. Me and many people can all agree that this is unfair and bias and the athletic director Coach Lawrence is the basketball coach and only really cares about basketball and leaves every other sport to fight for themselves. This genuinely angers me and other athletes alike who don’t play basketball and experience going to nationals. Regardless of skill, every team should have the chance of going to nationals and being funded equally instead of dumping it all on basketball. This would make every sport at KTA more enjoyable and allow everyone to experience going to nationals and having a great time regardless of skill and or their record.
