Buffalo Lake, Alberta is a major waterbody in central Alberta that provides year round recreational opportunities with accessible shorelands, beautiful landscapes, sustainable fish and wildlife populations, and a lakeside lifestyle.

We, the affected landowners and concerned public of Alberta would like to stop the planned development rezoning and development application of the Paradise Shores RV Park Development at Buffalo Lake as outlined in Bylaw Amendment and anticipated Development Permit application DP18001.

As Rate Payers in the South Shore Node contained in County of Stettler No.6, Buffalo Lake Intermunicipal Development Plan under Bylaw 1550-15, we feel this development will have a negative impact on our community as it is planned today.  We have all invested in the area and have grown to love the community and want to ensure the lake culture is preserved with future developments.  The development as outlined in the Development Permit does not address many concerns of rate payers in the South Shore Development Node of Buffalo Lake, such as, but not limited to:

Traffic safety on HWY 601, HWY 835 and safety and dust control on Township Roads 40-2, 20-2, 20-4 , 40-4 , emergency services, water sourcing and impact on the lake/community, septic/garbage disposal, Summer Village of White Sands boat launch use, increased boat capacity, # of RV lots planned, size of planned lots, density of lots, crime in the region, environmental/wetland impact, assessment of historic resources, marina and water park features, noise, visual impact and off highway vehicle use.

We would like to see all development halted until consultation and resolutions are made on the above areas by consultation with area residents.
