Stop rewarding 100% school attendance

Schools in the UK currently award children at the end of term for 100% attendance. This is unfair on children who have recurrent illnesses and/or additional needs as they have lots of appointments to attend outside of school with pediatricians and therapists.
By rewarding young children, who often have no control over their own attendance, it is encouraging parents to send their child into school while poorly which spreads more germs and it then takes the child longer to recover. Schools are not allowed to administer medications unless prescribed so the child often cannot function properly whilst in school anyway.
