Compulsory performing arts lessons in every school

It is incredibly important that children are given a wide range of opportunities in schools to explore their talents and develop them for the future. The only way to do this is to allow for them to experience every aspect of their abilities and interests. It is understood that many school hold small scale productions that allow students to showcase their talents. But this can leave many people behind who are less confident. Having compulsory performing arts lessons would give shy pupils a safe environment to express themselves  with confidence, in a way that can only be achieved through nurture and practice. In adiddtion to this, schools should provide an easy access to free arts lessons. The national curriculum is designed to widen a child's range of potential job opportunities, but still a career in the performing arts is widely forgotten about. Very few children are able to attend stage schools that will give them the skills set needed to achieve their full potential, due to finances, lack of funding, transport and a wide range of other hinderances that may occur. And finally, many feel that the education system is not tailored to their needs. In many cases academia is not a persons strength but they excel at more creative and artistic subjects. If these platforms are not provided by schools in the near future, many pupils will feel lost and confused when deciding the career path for them, due to the lack of choice and experience.
