To end By-Law NO. T-8

The problem we want to solve is By-Law NO. T-8. By-Law T-8 is a  law that the city of Fredericton has enacted  to combat panhandling in the city. This law fines offenders up to $140 for committing the crime. The people whom are affected by this by-law are homeless people in the city of Fredericton, New Brunswick. If we get the required amount of people to sign this petition it will potentially sway the opinion of the mayor to change/re-write the by-law, but if we don’t get the right requirements nothing will change. The reason why we’re doing this is because we don’t think it’s fair to charge a homeless person who’s struggling to pay the $140.
