Right now many Canadians are either stuck overseas or separated from their loved ones because of the latest COVID-19 pandemic and global restrictions. In the news many have heard about the US/Canadian relationships that are torn apart, but most people don't hear much about the many other overseas relationships that are torn apart. Even without the virus stressing our lives, it has been very difficult and very frustrating to cope with the Canadian Immigration system for even the simplest of things like a simple visitor visa. Everyone from a poor country is assumed to be a criminal without having even the slightest chance of proving otherwise. Only applicants with wealth are permitted to enter Canada even when their loved ones are trying to take full responsibility by providing sponsorship and writing letters pleading for the immigration to permit them a simple visit.

Canadians are forced to live abroad in developing countries just to be with their loved ones. Some Canadians have been living abroad for many years waiting and hoping that one day their attempts to return home to Canada and live in peace are granted. Many Canadians living abroad are depressed and upset and giving up on Canada looking to immigrate to a more deserving country. These Canadians take high levels of education and skills along with them and take their taxes to foreign countries, and leaving behind debts.

Meanwhile in the US, they have a fiance visa program that allows their citizens to invite their loved ones to marry them within their home country. Canada doesn't have a fiance visa program and Canada doesn't allow loved ones from poor countries to visit Canada let alone get married in Canada without hiding their relationship from the immigration applcation, This promotes dishonesty.

Whenever these Canadians reach out to politicians to pressure them for change, their concerns are dismissed and often ignored. These Canadians are treated as if they are irrelevant or trouble makers or haters when really they are just tired and frustrated and just want to go home with their wife, common-law wife, or simply spend some time in Canada. Canadians can't even get married in Canada unless their spouse has a passport from a privileged country. Canadians are forced to marry overseas or live overseas for a long time just to satisfy the excessively judgmental immigration system and prove that the relationship is authentic and not just for financial benefit. If a Canadian wants to sponsor a wife from a poor country the application can end up as thick as text book. The prevention of abuse of the immigration system is making immigration prohibitive

We urge Marco Mendicino and Justin Trudeau of the Canadian government to please clean up the discrimination against the poor people and remove the subjective application system replacing it with an objective application system allowing for no/low cost appeals processes and implement bond systems to protect Canadians from costs due to abusers of the system. We urge the people of Canada to join us in standing up for the right to choose who we love and the right to marry anyone we choose regardless of their race, religion, gender or wealth/political status. We ask for fairness and consideration. Please stand with us to demand a change in the Canadian immigration policies and get rid of the system that promotes dishonesty.

Thank you kindly for your time to read this.
