The coronavirus is not about racism.  This virus is an inclusive equal opportunity contagion that does not discriminate who it infects, regardless of race, ethnicity, faith, gender orientation, age or geographic location.  As of Feb. 2, 2020, 11:00 pm ET, there are over 17,205 coronavirus cases world-wide with over 360 deaths.  This virus has spread to more than 25 countries, since first decade in the city of Wuhan, China, in December 2019.  In efforts to contain this rapidly spreading virus, China put lockdowns that includes over 60 million people.

On Jan. 30, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus to be a global health emergency.

We, the undersigned, demand the Canadian federal government stop the spread of the coronavirus to protect its people, by implementing measures and policies, that meets or exceeds what other countries are doing, including; but not limited to:

1. Ban entry of all non-Canadian residents to Canada with a recent history of travel to China.

2. Mandatory screening of persons entering Canada.

3. Mandatory quarantine and health support of Canadians returning to Canada who have visited or travelled to China in the past 14 days.
