The terrorist group, the Taliban, are fighting and taking control of Afghanistan. They have already taken control of majority of the country, and are continuing to contest. Families are getting caught in between the war of the Afghan government and the Taliban. As we breathe, civilians are being murdered, assaulted, kidnapped, and tortured.

Thousands of families are left hungry and homeless, after being displaced from escaping the territories the Taliban has captured. There is no proper access or guarantee for basic survival needs. Many children have died from bombs and crossfire. Afghan families fear for their lives as their young girls and widows are being forcefully taken, and the men are being killed.

We call onto the Canadian government and the United Nations to take action in providing Afghans with basic human necessities and providing a way of escape for Afghans to countries like Canada and countries in Europe.
