Outbound Spousal Immigration Processing Time
Outbound Spousal Immigration Processing Time
Why this petition matters
Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada needs to re organize their application processing system.
Spousal application which are being processed in London Visa Office (UK) are backlogged and due to Visa Officer's ignorance, a vast majority of applications getting refused. Later on, those applicants are filing for ADR or Appeal to proof that their relationship is genuine. Anyone who went through an Immigration ADR or Appeal knows it takes about 1 yr to get a decision from appeal division.
Once people win this kind of spousal appeal, they need to submit updated forms to IRCC. The grievance here is, IRCC considered this application as band new again and starts the processing clock once they receive this updated forms. IRCC is not considering that the Visa officer made a mistake of not approving those spousal application and that these applicant already waited 2 yrs minimum before they won the ADR or Appeal.
How is this procedure fair for a family who has small kids and are waiting to be reunite with their moms/dads.
Once the ADR / Appeal is won, these application needs to get the fast tracked processing option. It should be done in 1 to 2 months.
We want Mr. Justin Trudeau to look into this ASAP.
