Many Children with autism have trouble understanding the importance of wearing a mask. There are many reasons why children with autism cannot wear a mask and there needs to be exemptions for these type of children.

I propose that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau create a Mask Exemption Passport downloadable on your smartphone for children with Autism.

Here is my story and why I believe in this. This is what happened to me and my autistic 4 year old by a Beck Taxi driver who should have known better.

My story on Social Media:

Social media family, I need to vent. Let me tell you what happened today in a Beck taxi cab with one of its drivers.  I was on my way home with my four-year-old son from school and I entered a Beck taxi. I asked the Driver if he took debit he said yes. I asked the Driver if he could take me up the street he said yes. Then when he saw my son who did not have a mask he refused to give us a ride. I explained to the driver that my son has a medical condition and therefore cannot wear a mask. He said that my son needs to wear a mask or prove that he has a medical condition.. I asked him how does he expect me to prove that my son has autism. Then he said "get out of my cab". I then said I can show you his assessment from the hospital that shows that he has autism. I did not have to do this. He then refused to look at the assessment and told me to get out of the cab. I decided that I was not going to leave the Taxi and then I was going to file a complaint about this injustice against my four-year-old son. So I called Beck Taxi reported him and they said they were going to send me another taxi but I decided to wait in his taxi until the new taxi was going to arrive. The taxi driver leaves the car and then gets on the phone with a woman who instructs me to leave the cab. I refuse to leave the cab because I wanted this documented. I then tell him that I am not leaving unless the police are involved. I say the only way that I would be leaving the cab is if the police take me out and he needs to call the police because I want to file this as a report. The taxi driver finally decides that he is going to go back into the car and drive me to the police station. The taxi driver then drives past my house 10 extra minutes to the police station to have the officers eject me and my 4 year old autistic son out of the taxi cab with my son. I then take out my video and make a video of the situation because I plan to use this in court. The driver then leaves the taxi and goes to speak to the officer who is in plain clothes and tell them about the situation. He tells him about the situation and then two more officers in uniform come out: a female officer and a male officer. The female officer was very nice and I ask if I can record this conversation. I am not going to post the video of the conversation because I plan to use this to take to court to fight against this injustice against my four-year-old son. This is ridiculous. This man clearly doesn’t want to work as a taxicab driver nor does he want money. His refusal to help a sister who was trying to patronize his business was ridiculous. I have the documentation and I will be finding a lawyer to fight against this case because this isn’t right. Mamas, I need this to go viral. My son should never have been subjected to this especially by a man that is supposed to be my brother.
