Legal(ish): Benign, MEDICINAL, potent, full-spectrum CBD oil caught in bureaucracy

High potency, Full-Spectrum CBD derived from cannabis plants have been scientifically proven to help with a wide variety of conditions that effect the brain such as neurodegenerative  disorders, depression, chronic pain, dimensia, schizophrenia, and seizure disorders, to name a few.

Following legalization in Canada, products featuring very high concentrations of Full-Spectrum Cannabinoids (CBD) are being controlled by bureaucracy instead of reason. Full-Spectrum CBD oil is the most benign, medicinally beneficial, scientifically- proven effective product from the cannabis plant. This MEDICINE needs to be taken on a daily basis to be effective. For those suffering constant immense pain, a year may as well be forever.

"In view of the very low toxicity and the generally benign side effects of [Cannabinoids], neglecting or denying their clinical potential is unacceptable.." Cannabinoids in health and disease, Natalya M. Kogan, MSc & Raphael Mechoulam, PhD. (from US National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health website. See link below for description of the study.)

In 2015, a study at the Lautenberg Center for Immunology and Cancer Research found that Full-Spectrum CBD worked best at  high levels of potency, especially compared to CBD Isolate "..The effectiveness of the full-spectrum solution continued to increase as higher doses were administered. The results all indicate that [CBD isolate] is only effective against swelling and pain at a certain dose, and that cannabis solutions containing [full-spectrum CBD] will continue to provide corresponding effects as the dosage is increased." Quoted from Fundacion-Canna about a study of CBD Isolate vs CBD Full-Spectrum at Lautenberg Center for Immunology and Cancer.

That is to say, the higher the potency of the Full-Spectrum CBD, the more effective. It also means the more THC you take throughout the day when you are on a daily dose of full-spectrum CBD, the more effectively it works. Full- spectrum CBD only requires a small amount of THC to be effective, and the dosage of THC can easily be increased or lowered with additional products (capsules, edibles, or smokables) depending on the patient's needs. There is no logical reason for Full-Spectrum CBD to be limited in Canada.

Prior to legalization, when medicinal marijuana was illegal but not enforced due to compassionate grounds, I was on a dose of 4G (4000MG) Full-Spectrum CBD per month. The viscosity of the oil was very sticky and gooey, and I would smear a small amount on a cracker every night before bed. My monthly pain management routine cost me $120, supplemented with THC products as needed. Regulations placed on LP's do not allow them to sell at a higher potency than 28mg/mL. My dosage was 250mg/mL, 10X the dosage available today (and also 1/3 of the price!).

There is currently no product prescribed by Western Physicians that can be called effective for long term severe chronic pain control. Full-Spectrum CBD has been very promising in seizure studies around the world, especially those including children. Why does the public need protection from a benign substance that has been shown to be promising medicinally in studies?

IMMEDIATELY dismiss regulations restricting the potency of Full-Spectrum CBD oil to 28mg/mL. Allow LP's, Pharmacists, and Dispensaries across the country to work together with Marjuana Activists and Chemists to quickly produce these products for those who need this medicine.

IMMEDIATELY Remove any and all regulations requiring Full-Spectrum CBD products to be liquid, as concentrations can be higher with less viscosity. Honestly dude, an ugly little 1G vile of brown stuff isn't appealing to kids!

Personal story
My name is Gayle. I was injured in a trauma seven years ago that left me with Mild Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, and severe chronic pain. I do everything I can to function well, to be well, but it is a daily struggle. I am in therapy, neurofeedback therapy, I get trigger point injections every 3 weeks, I work out 3x/week, walk every day, eat well, and full spectrum CBD (was) is my primary source of pain relief. I am not on any pain killers, I am not on muscle relaxants or anti- inflammatories. I pay for my own treatments, I trained my own BC Certified Service dog, I have never been a public nuisance. None of my treatments are subsidized by the gov't.

I don't know when or where I can get my meds and it is terrifying. There are people who need this medicine to function, and I am one of them.
