The average female spends $120+ a year on period supplies. This includes tampons, pads, and pain medication. Not to mention having to replace underwear. I believe that it is ridiculous that we, women, Need to pay so much money for products that we have no choice but to use. In some places in the country it is easy for women to get free, very low quality, tampons. But there are many more places in the country where there is access to free condoms. Sex is a choice, periods are not. I am hoping that if I can get enough attention on this issue, that change can be made. Asking for this supplies to be completely free is a lot to ask, But do we have to spend over $100 a year on these products? This will affect almost every person in some way. There are so many women in this country that cannot even afford the crappy cardboard tampons, shouldn't this say something? It's not as if we can practically go without these products. The youtube channel, Ladylike, that I often watch did a video called free bleeding for a day. In this video three women go one day without any feminine hygiene products. After watching this video you can clearly see, WE NEED THESE PRODUCTS! They are a necessity, not a luxury.  I understand that there are bigger issues in the world, and even within this country, but I don't think that should make this take a backseat. This issue should still be brought to light and something should be done.
