Intoxication is NOT a defence for Sexual Assault

Recently a judge ruled in the Superior Court of Ontario that intoxication may be used as a defence in a sexual assault case which sets a dangerous precedent and a slippery slope.

Our children and grandchildren need to see we are attempting to heal the World, not destroy it. Actions have consequences and we need to set a strong example for the youth of tomorrow. It is not okay to get behind the wheel while intoxicated. If you hurt someone you are liable. If you drink and assault someone, sexually or physically, accept responsiblity for your actions. Denial only surpresses healing.
