If we can give free condoms, we should give free tampons/napkins too.

Why this petition matters

Every year the prophylactic industry supplies schools with free condoms to students in an effort to make our children more responsible. Free condoms, and birth control is the promotion of sexual activity, not sex education. Condoms protect heterosexual, and gay couples, but not lesbians.
We believe the federal government should implement measures to supply the women of tomorrow, free sanitary supplies in our schools. It's not like girls have the choice.
Our daughter's are young when the natural course first approaches. The current system in schools across Canada, forces the student to go home if it should start in the classroom.
Many female teachers have, out of their own pockets, kept supplies on hand for such cases, but nowhere near the amount of free condoms currently supplied to our youth.
Sex education starts with the reproductive system. The female menstrual cycle is the most important. The promotion of safe sex is important, but not as much as the dignity of young women. Imagine being in school when your cycle begins, and being ridiculed because of unpreparedness.
Please sign the petition to make sanitary supplies for girls free in schools across Canada!
