I WANT THE INDIAN ACT REPEALED TO MAKE RECONCILIATION POSSIBLE
The abolishment of the INDIAN ACT to facilitate reconciliation in Canada . This "LAW " since 1885 has been the catalysts for full control of Indegnous peoples in Canada and is still a law that continues to negatively affect the lives of first nations people. This law is responsible for the many social and personal injustices and consequences we have in our first nations communities across most of Canada. How realistic is the concept of RECONCILIATION possible with a law that continues to go against reconciliation and the restoring of trust in aboriginal communities who continue to live on government reserves that resemble a prison system comparable to the treatment of black people in South Africa. The unmarked graves of abrigonal children and the horror stories of Residental Schools and the original intent to destroy the very fabric of abrigonal societies and assimilate those who survived the horrific sexual, physical and emotional abuses and murder of friends, brothers and sisters by Religious groups approved by the Canadian government to carry out their mandate to destroy all native Canadian citizens. This is unacceptable and must be abolished. I know Canadians want it to stop.
