Many of us have experienced the trauma of attending a hospital emergency ward and having to struggle to find a place to park that is close to ER entrance. Invariably, hospitals charge exorbitant parking fees.  Burnaby and Langley Hospitals charge $4.25/hour for emergency parking.  St. Paul's in Vancouver charges $2 per half hour.  Vancouver General charges $6/hour. 

We petition the federal and provincial governments to implement ways and means to remove parking fees placed upon us while attending any hospital emergency department premises for medical reasons during and up to a 4 hour period in standard emergency cases or between 4 to 8 hours in trauma emergency cases.
