As recently elected MP George Chahal was found stealing an opposition candidate flyer at the time of door knocking, it is unethical to stay as an MP and serve the country. If MP is a thief, he can only bring corruption. Even acting as a counselor, he had his own seven construction companies and was receiving gifts from builders from time to time. We want an honest MP to represent us. 

As per election Canada, it's a criminal offense. 

From the Canada Elections Act:
Prohibition — prevention or impairment of transmission
325(1) No person shall prevent or impair the transmission to the public of an election advertising message without the consent of a person with authority to authorize its transmission.

495(2) Every person is guilty of an offense who, ... (b) contravenes section 325 (removal of election advertising).

500 (2) Every person who is guilty of an offense under any of subsections 484(2) and 486(2), paragraph 487(1)(a), subsections 488(1) and 489(2), sections 491.1 and 493 and subsections 495(2) and (3), 497.1(2) and 497.2(2) is liable on summary conviction to a fine of not more than $5,000 or to both.
