By spending money on mental health crisis intervention, we can put a stop to police brutality against racialized communities (especially Black communities). Officers sent to deescalate mental health situations usually end up killing the person they were supposed to help. Signing this petition will push the government to fund a special unit that will receive training on how to deescalate and help situations where people who have a mental health crisis, saving lives.
