In Canada, Women are paid 75 cents for every dollar that a man makes. It takes women on average 15.5 months to earn what a man does in one year.  This is largely due to the gender sterotypes placed on men and women within society. This stereotype exists due to many individuals believing that men are more qualified to work. However, in a time a great progress in society this is no longer valid. Although Justin Trudeau has said that he is in support of closing the pay gap, a concrete plan has still not been made.
