On June 19, 2005 in Lawrence Kansas Syndi Perkins, age 3, was brutally, viciously, savagely, horrifically shaken and beaten to death by Jason William Dillon, age 22, of Kansas City Kansas. His defense was voluntary intoxication. He was allowed to plea bargain to Abuse of a Child less than 18; Intentional Torture/Murder in the 2nd Degree (Intentional) which might lead you to believe that he got what he deserved but no he only served 14 yrs which is about when she would of graduated High School. It is sad to think that such a horrific crime should get so little punishment. He beat her all day long even layed her down for a nap between beatings, he admitted he hit her in the back of the head at least 12 to 13 times, shook her violently and threw her to the ground. The first beating was because she would not help him fold laundry, the next couple of beatings was because she told him she did not want him to be her daddy any longer. He was the mother's boyfriend. What Syndi suffered that day at 3 yrs old was evil, there is not anything a 3 yr old could do to deserve torture like that. He had been a known drug abuser and why that did not come out in the investigation I do not know, but now he is free to torture another child to death. I am signing this for all the "Syndi's" out there !!!

I'm signing because I remember thee abuse at the hands of my own parent. That was over 50 years ago. It is long past the time to start protecting children. If they have even 1 conviction of abuse against their child then visitation rights should be denied and stronger order of protection applied
