Change our Child endangerment laws

Please help me share this I want everyone to know this.

I live in Dartmouth Nova Scotia and Last week I dropped my daughter off to her babysitters as usual however my day took a bad turn when I got a call at my work from the police saying that my sitter was arrested for public intoxication at Alderney library with my 8 month old child, many staff members saw my sitter stumble and fall with my daughter in arms.

My disappointment lies with the police and child protective services as they could not lay charges against my sitter because nothing grievous happened to my daughter.

Our laws need to change. My sitter had a history of public intoxication and nothing was done. She should at the very least be charged with child endangerment

I don't want anything like this to happen to another parent. We shouldn't have to wait for something to happen to our children before charges can be laid. This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable
