Canada should accept American Dreamers from the US in exchange for trade tariffs

Prime Minister Trudeau should approach President Trump and use Canada Accepting DACA recipients, also called Dreamers, as a bargaining chip in trade negotiations.

President Trump is deporting Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients to countries of their parents' origin.  DACA recipients have no criminal records and have only known the culture of the United States. There are regions in Canada that are suffering due to negative population growth.  Canada is in tense trade negotiations with the US on multiple fronts.

Canada accepting DACA recipients represents a win-win-win situation for all parties.

President Trump gets to show he is tough on immigration to his base and that he has negotiated something out of Canada.

The Dreamers get to relocate to a culture that is very similar to the one they are leaving where they can live without fear of deportation to a land they have never known.

Canada gets the talent and gratitude of 1000's of young people that will pay taxes and contribute to Canada for decades.  Perhaps special programs could help them relocate to areas of Canada suffering from declining population growth.
