Hi, I am 10 years old and I have been worried about global warming for a long time.  I want to help make changes so that people have a safe world to live in.  I think that one of the biggest problems are cars and trucks burning fossil fuels.

About 20% of all CO2 pollution comes from cars and trucks, that's about 120 million metric tons of CO2 being released into the air every year. The government's plan right now is that all new cars and trucks sold by 2035 must be electric, but that is in over a decade, and if we keep everything like it is now for another decade, there will be widespread floods and other natural disasters. The climate will be unbearable. Polar bears, seals and many other animals will be extinct or on the path towards extinction. Stopping sales of gas burning cars and trucks by 2030 would get mostly every car in Canada electric by 2040. This would mean instead of 600 million metric tons of CO2 being released every year in Canada, it would be about 480 million metric tons. That's a big difference, and if Canada does it, it may also influence other countries do make every new car and truck electric. So please help fix global warming by signing this petition and sharing it with others.
