Add the History of the Mi'kmaq to the Cornwallis Statue and park in Halifax

This page represents the awareness needed for the Mi’kmaq Indigenous People pertaining to the Cornwallis Statue. The Cornwallis statue represents a one-sided history revolving around the creation of the city Halifax. Although Governor Cornwallis established the city of Halifax in 1749, the history forgets to represent the Mi’kmaq people who were already here. Thus, this page is to assist the Mi’kmaq people to allow their history to be heard along side the Cornwallis Statue.
