Reduce Public Transport Fee for Tertiary Students

We demand that Wellington City Council introduce a new policy of giving Wellington tertiary students a discount (student fare) for public transport (bus and train). There is currently no discount for transport for Wellington tertiary students now, and this poses a huge financial stress for them.
Tertiary students in Wellington are currently paying the adult fare for public transport (train and bus). Many students who are living on their own already have a lot of expenses to cover (such as food, rent, electricity and other fees). By having a separate student fare, students would be able to save more, making it easier to cover their expenses. If we introduce a student fare (about 20% off) for tertiary students, they would be able to save about 400 dollars a year.
