Re: Convicted Felon, Murderer and Serial Rapist : Kolvin Sinclair Charles

PROTECTING OUR COMMUNITY FROM UNREFORMED, HABITUAL, PSYCHOPATHS, SOCIOPATHS AND DANGEROUS CRIMINALS SUCH AS Kolvin Sinclair Charles, WHO WE BELIEVE POSES A THREAT TO OUR COMMUNITY AS A MULTIPLE RAPIST AND MURDERER.

With regards to the meeting held at Arcadia Community Centre on the 15th of February 2019 following the article in the H Metro where Kolvin Sinclair Charles appealed to the community and the Saiyad family for forgiveness.

He also implied that he will be released soon back into the ward 2 community.

Facts:  In 2009 Kolvin Sinclair Charles was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment for raping and murdering Tahmima Saiyad, brutally ending her life at 18 years old, two weeks after 18th birthday in 2008.

Tahmima was a quiet, creative teenage girl who enjoyed writing, She was loved by her brothers and her parents.  She preferred being a homebody and hanging out with her friends, she was in school doing her  A levels.

At the time he murdered Tahmima Saiyad, Kolvin Sinclair Charles had just been released from serving custodial sentences for rape of other young ladies from the ward 2 community.

This article was found to have many untruths and members of the community are concerned about the sincerity of his appeal given the false information and attempts to mislead a community and the public. Members of the Community are also concerned and terrified of the possibility of an early release and his propensity to commit a similar or worse offence upon being released.

The devastated and fearful families and community are not ready for the release of this habitual and unremorseful criminal.

By signing this Appeal, you are stressing that:  Kolvin Sinclair Charles will not be welcomed into the community and is a danger to women and girls in any society he is integrated into based on his history.

As evidenced by his previous convictions it is felt that he has not, and cannot reform and will be a danger to society on his release. We fear for the safety of our GIRLS.

We request and insist on a full mental, psychological evaluation of his mental state by qualified health professionals before any appeals are entertained. We ask that you put the safety of our girls and women FIRST.
