On Thursday November 2, 2017 , sixteen year old Vincent Basile was shot and killed by eighteen year old Noah Hendron in Wethersfield,CT. It was not until 2019 that Noah was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 20 years of prison. 

Vincent would have been twenty one years old this year. But rather celebrating his birthday his family and friends continue to mourn his death due to this horrific event. His parents live a life filled w mental anguish and constant struggles without their only son. Noah Hendron however continues to live and will be able to resume a life out of prison before he turns forty.

He and his legal team are now taking advantage of a bill that was signed by Gov. Ned Lamont in 2021 that will make it easier for anyone sentenced after a trial or to more than seven years to get time shaved off their sentence for transforming themselves behind bars. The hope is to prove that Noah has transformed into a better person these past years so he can modify his original 20 year sentence down to 10.
