My beautiful twins ripped out of there last year of primary school due to lockdown, thrown to the wolves in high school. 

From the start, things seemed positive... all be it overwhelming but they where not alone in that. Starting high school is scary as it is, however the cracks quickly started to show. The big dark truth of this school, that abuse from bully's is ignored. 

It was lunchtime, a busy school hallway and the twins being them just like they always have, attempted to get eachothers attention by making a meowing sound, a sound they would soon regret as stood in that hallway was 3 girls who took it along themselves to start hurling verbal abuse. The twins stood quiet.... unsure to why these girls felt it so necessary to hurt them with there words, bowing there heads and trying to stay out the way but these girls wouldn't allow that so they gathered a crowd and chased the twins outside, they where soon surrounded and made to take off there shoes, there bags emptied out and glasses punched off there face and stolen. One of the twins chased after for his glasses only to be wrestled to the ground, glasses broken and tears in there eyes they ran to get help, be somewhere with adults/teachers so they where safe.... but the staff didn't help, they punished them for being in the office area and scolded them verbally for running about in a panic.

Thankfully this was all caught on CCTV BUT The schools action was to tell the bullys it was wrong and my twins where told quote "maybe learn how to fit in so you don't get bullied". Nothing else was done so the twins where left feeling that those who where ment to keep them safe and help, just ignored them and pointed the responsibility at them.

Bo'ness Academy is well known for its tolerance towards physical and mental abuse, doing nothing to the bully , leaving the victims so depressed they are suicidal, anorexic, self harming etc.... 

Another occasion as there is several, the twins... sat in class listening to there teacher, one of them felt a blow to the back of the head.... they had been punch, for no reason. Upset and frustrated... they tell me this event when they get home again ignored by the school. Scrolling soical media the twin who was punched came to me and shown that the bully had not only admitted to assaulting him but it was in writing and on soical media. The next day the screenshots shown to the school and in school police officer to where we though okay... this is it... they have to act now, no... they didn't.... they "just had a word" and advised my son to delete his soical media!! Another school failure. 

This petition is to be used in an effort to have Bo'ness Academy AND the bullys held accountable for what they have put my children and hundreds more through, to get them to finally change there ways and to get justice for these victims.

Bullying should never prosper, victims rights to a safe place of education is paramount.
