Tarah Michelle Galfo (at age 17) of Rochelle Park, NJ was 9 months pregnant with her daughter Brittany when she was brutally murdered by convicted murderer James Stuart of Maywood, NJ on August 24, 1994.  Brittany died when Tarah died.  James Stuart is due for parole eligibility on June 3, 2026. James Stuart was dating Tarah when he killed Tarah and Brittany.  James Stuart was only charged with one murder.  Tarah was a child (at age 17), James Stuart was age 20.  James Stuart killed Tarah who was a minor child, and he killed Brittany who was in the birth canal.   James Stuart stands at 6'4", and Tarah was a whole foot shorter than him.  Yet James Stuart has only served time for one murder.   The Galfo family filed a missing person report when Tarah never returned home.  At which time, James Stuart, who just murdered Tarah, went along with the missing person report.  James even helped Tarah's family and friends hang missing person's flyers.  He was calculated, a liar and manipulative. After days long search, James admitted to the killing and took the police to the grave that he placed Tarah and Brittany in.  He was then taken into custody showing no remorse and only cried at trial (crocodile tears). "Jimmy was no angel", "He had a violent temper, Tarah wasn't allowed to have friends and he limited her contacts" according to friends. If James Stuart is paroled, he will pose a danger to women and children.  He murdered two children. James Stuart is a violent offender, manipulative, secretive, covered up a crime, he is a danger to the community.  Did you know that... Violent offenders recidivated at a higher rate than non-violent offenders. Over 60 percent (63.8%) of violent offenders recidivated by being rearrested for a new crime or for a violation of supervision conditions.  This means James Stuart is most likely to reoffend.   We cannot allow James Stuart to be released on parole.  He has been sentenced to serve minimum of 30 years to life in prison.  He will reoffend, and we must stop his parole.
