On August 4th, 2012 Jerry Schild was shot and killed in cold blood while working on a pipeline in North Dakota. His roommate was also shot and two other coworkers had their lives threatened with a gun.
Victor Scott Lamont was arrested and charged with Four Felonies- Murder, Attempted Murder, and two counts of Terrorizing. The maximum penalty for murder is life without the possibility of parole; the maximum penalty for attempted murder is twenty years, and five years for each terrorizing charge.
The State Attorney of Williams County North Dakota is contemplating offering this criminal a plea bargain of just 20 years.

Please sign this petition to let the State Attorney of Williams County North Dakota know that it is unacceptable to offer a plea bargain of 20 years for crimes that call for a maximum sentence of life in prison plus 30 years.

The state attorney even stated that there is no question about Victor Scott Lamont being guilty, HE IS ABSOLUTELY GUILTY.
