On May 22, 2012 31 year old Marshall "Mosi" Langford was fatally shot by a Maui Police officer. Police said Langford was trying to flee in a stolen car and allegedly had pulled out a handgun and pointed it at one of the officers, in return the 18 year veteran officer fired his weapon at the suspect, shooting Langford 3 times killing Langford with a shoot to the head.  Genevieve Langford Marshall's mother said her son-in-law received a phone message from Langford at the time of the shooting.

"All my son-in-law heard was three shots on the phone," she said. "I don't know what he was trying to tell my son-in-law, but he nevah have time because they shot him already." I dont know much but, but I do know that he was a son, brother, husband, and a father, his children must now grow up without their father. I believe that when Langford reached for his phone the officer made an irrational assumption that he was reaching for a gun and shot. Alot of people believe that the maui police may have planted the two guns that were found in the car, to cover up a mistake that they made. With that being said the 3 hotel surveillance tapes which were confiscated within  hours of the shooting, as well as the tape of the search of the vehicle should be released, if they are telling the truth then they obviously have nothing to hide, but if they are lying someone needs to be held responsible for taking his life. I've seen people do worse things and still walk away...was that type of force really necessary? Prove us wrong MPD or take responsibility for your actions.

"They nevah give my son a chance to even talk. He had his phone, and they shot him".
