I am Angela Tucke the grandmother of Leah-Kaie Tucke. She died on March 12, 2016 due to child abuse. The cause of her death was traumatic brain swelling due to blunt force trauma to the head. Leah-Kaie was just a few weeks over a year old at the time that this happened. The person that caused her death was the mother's boyfriend, Timmy Mayle. He was convicted of her murder on June 22, 2017.

Although this is not going to happen due to lack of evidence I would of liked to see the state of Ohio pick up charges against the mother of Leah-Kaie, Kayley Yoho,  for neglect and child endangerment. So, instead I am asking that there be harsher punishment for all that are involved in the abuse and/or neglect of a minor child.

There were numerous calls made to the local Children Protective Services of Stark County with concerns of abuse. Each time they played avoidance and lied to them about her place of residence. On one occasion on December 22 , 2015, CPS called me asking if I knew where they might find Kayley because they had an appointment to meet with them and they couldn't locate her at either of the addresses that they had been provided with. I still have the voice mail that was left on my phone with the caseworker's name. Why did that not put up a red flag in the eyes of the CPS worker. Why were they so quick to close the case? There needs to be stricter guidelines for these workers to follow. Not all injuries are obvious at first glance.

So, please lets push forward and make people held more accountable for their actions when it comes to dealing with the lives of children.

Thank you for your support. If we all stand together we can make a difference in the lives of children
