Comparing a deceased artist with others and defaming his talent and integrity on a public platform is not just a crime but shows how cheap an artist himself can get. Krishnakumar Kunnath the Legendary singer aka 'KK' who is widely known for his playback singing. He has sung in languages ​​like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, and Gujarati.

He died of a cardiac arrest on 31 May 2022 at The Grand Hotel in Kolkata, after performing at a college festival on the Nazrul stage. 

Artist Rupankar Bagchi's remarks on Late Singer Kk has fuelled netizens and has backfired his own statements. It is said that 'Always think before you speak'. Later Rupankar Bagchi held a conference,where he showed his condolences and read out a written statement along with his wife, but didn't pronounced the word sorry or appologies for what he said..All he could charade about how he's been criticised by people from all around the globe and that his wife is getting threats which is obviously not right but he could atleast have made a statement of appology after all that remarks he's made. 

DEFAMATION-

According to section 499 of IPC, whoever, by words either spoken or intended to be read, or by signs or by visible representations, makes or publishes any imputation concerning any person intending to harm, or knowing or having reason to believe that such imputation will harm, the reputation of such person, is said, except in the cases hereinafter expected, to defame that person.

Section 500 U/s IPC, which is on punishment for defamation, reads: “Whoever defames another shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.”

I request the Indian authorities to give adequate punishment to Rupankar Bagchi for defaming Late KK's Reputation.
