This petition arises from an unimaginable tragedy. Our beloved son, father, brother, cousin Joshua September, was brutally taken from us in a senseless act of violence. As we grieve this devastating loss, we are also deeply concerned for the safety of our community.

The defendants in this case, who we believe may have a history of violence, are currently free in our community. We fear that justice may not be served unless there is a thorough and fair trial. Our family and community deserve to see accountability for this crime.

We urge the authorities to ensure that justice is pursued with the full force of the law. We call on Franschhoek Police Station to conduct a comprehensive investigation and trial, ensuring that all evidence is considered and that the voices of the victim’s loved ones are heard.
