Justice for Filipino Seafarers and OFWs
A. Over 15,000 Filipino seafarers were being slaved, extorted and exploited since 1986 to present, those being employed at Holland America Line Inc. (HAL) as Principal; United Philippine Lines Inc. (UPL) as Manning Agency and AMOSUP as our seafarers union. The entire Filipino seafarers who are desperate to work for a living are FORCED to sign a BLANK contract, no exemptions even the Officers are bound to sign a BLANK contract!
B. From June 1, 2004 to November 30, 2006 HAL, UPL and AMOSUP forced the Filipino seafarers to pay their Travel Expenses, including those who embarked in Manila to joined the HAL vessels are also forced to pay the same amount (US$ 2,120.00) as deducted to those Filipino seafarers who joined the HAL vessels in other country. C. HAL, UPL and AMOSUP also used some greedy Filipino seafarers (accessory after the fact) to circumvent the US Maritime Law! As per Mr. Farzam my council, HAL, UPL, and AMOSUP bribed the US Court including the Filipino seafarers who intervene to screwed up the Rafales v. HAL et al so that the US Court will be force to approved the BAD Faith Settlement. See this link: http://bit.ly/1akc6Wu
The poor and destitute Filipino seafarers and OFWs are being called, “HEROES” because we are contributing Billion US Dollars to help our economy! Yet we are slaves outside and inside our beloved country! We are totally sick and tired for being a Slaves, Exploited, Discriminated, suffering endlessly for being unfairly treated at Sea! More often we are forced to treat ourselves a “dog” who has no self-respect because if we will think that we are humans, 100% the next port of calls we will disembarked the vessels and go home without due process! Therefore, we are begging and appealing to your good sense of Humanity, to please:
#1. Cancel the Operation and Business Permit of United Philippines Lines Inc. (UPL) and Associated Marine Officers’ and Seamen’s Union of the Philippines (AMOSUP)
#2. Sell the properties of Associated Marine Officers’ and Seamen’s Union of the Philippines (AMOSUP) here and abroad, including those property under the name of Dr. Conrado Oca up to the 3rd degree of Oca’s family.
#3. Reimburse to the Filipino seafarers (AMOSUP Members) their contribution including the interest;
#4. Reestablished the National Seaman’s Board (NSB) to govern the security and safety of the wellbeing of the Filipino seafarers;
#5. Remove the “Arbitration Clause” to the POEA Filipino seafarer’s contract; and
#6. “If the Government Employees deserved a retirement benefits, I guess Seafarers and OFWs deserved a Retirement Benefits too... and not Retaliation?”
A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.

The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.
