There have been numerous reports of varying types of abuse at the hands of the Escambia County Jail. Inmates and their families have reported frequent use of solitary confinement, nicknamed “The Hole”, inadequate mental health services, inmates denied their medications, physical abuse, verbal abuse including racial and gender slurs etc. 

We are demanding a change! That change starts with 3 simple demands:

1. All claims of violence to be investigated by an independent third party and any guilty officers punished to the full extent of the law
2. Ensure that all inmates have access to complete medical care including their prescribed medications
3. Immediately stop using solitary confinement as a punishment and silencing technique for inmates
