This is important because Erin Finn is only possibly facing a one year in prison sentence for killing our Father/Friend Dennis Dolce in a fatal car crash due to negligent operation of a vehicle, skipping the median on C-470 at an unsafe speed (suspected to be near 100MPH) and to further degrade the situation- she immediately fled the scene of the crime. She is potentionally looking at a minimum sentence of one year in prison. We feel that such action would not do justice, due to the miniscule nature of the consequences in light a life lost. This insufficient for the immense loss we have faced.
This should not be overlooked by the justice system. There are men and women in America who are facing 50+ years for attemped murder, for drug charges, and other acts of violence. A life was taken, despite intention, due to irresponsible action. We believe this is an opportunity to set an example for our court system, to not allow these actions of irresponsibility be tolerated in our homes and communities. This is in hopes to save another family's heartache from such a tragic loss. A life of a man that made difference in our community and more importantly in our lives. We as a family and community are asking for the support of those who have also suffered a loss, or been in any way affected by a death to help us take a stand in seeking justice and reconciliation. This has to be an example for us all, to take heed to our actions, and take responsibility for our actions as well.
