Justice for Cookie! Adopted sick and starved dog

According to data obtained by pet-abuse.com, Lace Walker has been charged with a misdemeanor due to her alleged neglect and torture of a dog named Cookie.

Cookie was a rescue dog that was adopted by Lace Walker and her husband at the St. George Animal Shelter. Walker is accused of failing to feed a mixed-breed poodle named "Cookie". She pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of intentional or knowing cruelty to an animal in Judge Douglas Whitlock's court.

Cookie was rescued on May 16 after a friend visited the Walker residence. Cookie succumbed to her illness and was humanely euthanized during the month of June. Her rescuers tried by all means to save her and provided her with a loving foster home till the end of her days. Rest in peace Cookie.

Please read the following information about how there is a connection between animal cruelty and human violence. This needs to be taken in consideration at the time of reviewing Lace Walker's case and hopefully lead to a fair sentencing.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: Brock Belnap.

Justice for Cookie! Adopted sick and starved dog

We the undersigned, plea for justice for Cookie. If found guilty, may Lace Walker be charged to the full extent for her crime against the innocent dog, Cookie.

Mrs. Walker failed to provide her dog with the basic needs of food and water. Cookie had to be euthanized due to her frail state. She did not survive after all the torture allegedly imposed by Mrs. Walker. She showed disrespect to the law by failing to appear at her first court date. Therefore, we plea she is considered as a human that disrespects living creatures and the law.
