They say the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. So why are we letting Dennis White get away with murder?
A 46 -year-old Anderson, Indiana man with a violent past, White was out on bond for child molestation and four battery charges when his last offense occurred. On February 23, White’s girlfriend refused to give him part of her tax refund. White then beat and choked her until Coco, the girlfriend’s pit bull bit him. The bite was enough to distract White while the girlfriend made her escape. White’s energy was then turned on Coco and her eight puppies: he killed every single one of them. He claims he stabbed Coco in self defense but offered no explanation as to why he murdered each of the eight puppies. Covered in blood, White went to a store to purchase cigarettes when a concerned employee phoned police.
White was arrested on Wednesday, February 29, after he confessed to strangling his girlfriend and stabbing Coco. But these were not his first arrests. As previously stated, White was out on bond for child molestation and four battery charges. He has also been charged with battery by bodily waste, public intoxication, driving while intoxicated, and driving while a habitual traffic offender.
White seems to be creating a pattern of violence. The last offenses that White is charged with, nine counts of animal cruelty and one count of strangulation, were all committed against innocents, victims of White’s alleged brutality. This petition asks that, if convicted, White receive the maximum penalty available under law for the nine counts of animal cruelty and one count of strangulation.
