Justice for cats Aunt Samantha and Daphne
My friend and her neighbor both lost senior cats early Saturday morning when two at-large Pit Bulls entered Lillian's yard and attacked the outdoor cats who are all rescues. Lillian heard the commotion over the baby monitor she uses to detect problems with her cats and ran out to find the dogs had already killed her elderly cat and the neighbor's cat. Lillian's husband was able to catch the dogs and the police were called. Lillian informed them that she wanted to press charges against the owners, but when she called to see if the owners had been found, she was told that no report had been made and the dogs had been released to their owner. Their reasoning was that "it was only cats" that got hurt. Lillian's Aunt Samantha, and the neighbor's cat Daphne were not "just" cats. They were family members. Justice needs to be done. Please sign this petition calling on the police department to give this case the attention it deserves!
