Just in the past year I myself have know four people who have died from Fentynal related overdose and under the current laws here in Idaho the police cannot to pursue the dealers. I would like to have new legislation introduced to our Idaho legislators to change how the judicial system and coroner's office view fentanyl related deaths from "accident overdose(Fentynal)" to "Fentynal poising". With this legislation I would like to see the police be able to investigate these fentanyl related deaths as a form of murder or manslaughter and be able to pursue charges for the drug dealers related to the deaths. As well as increasing the punishment for selling fentanyl with a mandatory minimum prison sentence. With this legislation I would like to see our Idaho legislators grandfather clause and reopened for investigation up into 2019.
