Schools are required to stock Epipens on campus.

Working in education my whole career, I always put safety as number one. While we think that means keeping students safe from violence, it also means keeping them healthy. Saying that, only about 25% of the states require schools to be stocked with epinephrine (epipens). This is unacceptable. With the cost of these life saving medications being astronomical for some families, schools should help with this. This would not only protect those with known allergies, but also those students that have unknown allergies that maybe discovered in school.   While this will not solve the allergy issue, it will make our children safer.  As a parent of a child with a severe life-threatening allergy this hits home. While I can afford the necessary medication, many families cannot. Please support this and share it with all friends and family. Thank you for your assistance in solving this issue.
