Because these rules are discriminative towards women.

“Contestants may not be married or pregnant. They must not have ever been married, not had a marriage annulled nor given birth to, or parented a child. The titleholders are also required to remain unmarried throughout their reign.”

To be honest,I don’t really support the notion of such competitions, on the grounds of objectifying superficial beauty, however,I do support the right of every woman to make that decision for herself, and whether or not she has been married or has a child, is irrelevant, and thoroughly primitive actually.
