Allow Juan Borja to stay in the United States

As you're reading this, our friend, co-worker, son, and brother to many of us has been in the Farmville Immigration Detention Center in Virginia since December 9, 2015, due to unforeseen circumstances stemming from a previous incident with the law from a marijuana charge. Per the suggestion of his court appointed attorney, Juan took a plea to (at the time) prevent any time incarcerated.
Juan is now facing the possibility of deportation and losing his status of Legal Permanent Resident, despite the fact that he has lived in the U.S. since he was a small child. Juan is completely Americanized, and contributes to society just as any other citizen. Deporting Juan out of the United States is an extremely harsh and cruel punishment for possessing marijuana, especially since he was complying with his probation and has changed his lifestyle. PLEASE sign this petition if you agree that the punishment of deporting Juan Borja is excessive. With this petition, we ask Judge Snow to allow Juan to stay in the U.S. and repay his debt to society. Juan is a good person, a dear friend to many, and he doesn’t deserve to be deported.
On April 11, 2016, Juan has a hearing at the Arlington Immigration Court at 1901 South Bell Street, suite 200, In Arlington, Virginia at 1PM to determine the outcome of this predicament. Everyone is asked to come if possible to show support for Juan. For such a loyal friend, this is the least we can do to try to help keep him in the U.S.
