After Hurricane Harvey in 2017 Bear Creek (Golf Course) shut down due to flooding, it has remained abandoned for years with no plans to renovate or use the property for any other purposes. I believe that the old abandoned golf course would be the perfect place to have an OHV Off-Road Park.

Why Bear Creek would be a perfect fit.

• Low Cost to operate and maintain
• Flood water wouldn't damage facilities
• Away from homes and most businesses
• Large Space with plenty of space to grow
• Would reduce the number of people illegally using Bayou's as off-road trails
• Located in West Houston with no "Legal Alternatives" Around

This would be the perfect place since it already has an established driveway, office, restroom facilities, etc... I would not expect for the park to be free and I know that many people in West Houston would love an off-road park that isn't a 45 min + drive away the fees charged should be similar to other off-road parks in the county such as "Twisted River Ranch" which recently shut down and Xtreme Offroad which recently acquired Twisted River Ranch. Many people may wonder why we don't use these parks instead of making a new one in West Houston the main reason why is because for the people who live west of the I-610 loop getting to an existing park is a burden when there are other more convenient "Illegal" options available.

I am urging Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Harris County Parks Commissioner Tom S., Ramsey to take action and make better use of this amazingly located space.
